Arnold Schwarzenegger was born in Thal on July 30, 1947. From an early age he established himself as one of the greatest bodybuilders in the world. Established businessman, he built his career on his physique, thanks to which he entered the world of cinema.
The celebrity came from the interpretation of the barbarian warrior Conan, which was followed by the first film of the Terminator exalogy. Considered one of the most representative performers of action films, he occupies a prominent place in the star system of US cinema.
Approaching politics in the early nineties, he became an active member of the Republican Party. In 2003, he was elected the 38th Governor of California. In 2006 he was reappointed to the same position. In January 2011, at the end of his tenure, he returned to cinema.
Also known for his work against racism, pollution and global warming, in May 2004 and 2007 he was included in the Time 100 list as one of the hundred most influential people committed to helping the world. In 2015 he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
