Kelly Clarkson, born in 1982, was the first winner of the first season of American Idol, and has been nominated 15 times for Grammy Awards, winning three times, has received three MTV Video Music Awards and two Academy of Country Music Awards. During her career she has sold over 25 million albums and 45 million singles worldwide, obtaining 3 first positions on the Billboard 100, recording a total of 31 entries always on the aforementioned chart as of 2022.
She was ranked 14th by Billboard among the artists of the decade 2000-2010 and defined as one of the best pop singers, being awarded with the Powerhouse Awards at the Billboard Women in Music Awards of 2017.
During her career she has also acted in films, television series, written children's books, and served as a coach on the show The Voice. Since 2019 she has been the presenter of her own talk show, entitled The Kelly Clarkson Show, thanks to which she has won five Daytime Emmy Awards, including as Outstanding Talk Show Host.
On October 20, 2013, she married talent manager Brandon Blackston. The couple have a daughter, River Rose, born on June 12, 2014. On August 20, 2015, she announced her second pregnancy. Remington Alexander Blackstock was born on April 12, 2016. In June 2020, the singer-songwriter announced her divorce from her husband, subsequently obtaining custody of her children as her first parent.
