Irina Shayk, born in 1986, is a Russian supermodel. She is the daughter of a Muslim Tatar coal miner and a Russian music teacher. She began playing the piano at the age of six, and at nine she enrolled in a music school where she studied for the next seven years.

She was orphaned by her father at the age of fourteen, when he died of complications from pneumonia. Thus begins a period of poverty for the family and, despite financial help from her paternal grandmother, Irina's mother has two jobs and she and her sister help her cultivate the house garden for subsistence.

After high school, the two sisters moved to Chelyabinsk, where Irina began studying marketing at the Economic College, only to leave it shortly after and enter a school of beauticians where her older sister was already enrolled. Here she is noticed by a local modeling agency.

In 2007 she made her debut in the annual Sports Illustrated magazine for which she was confirmed continuously until 2016, appearing 10 times in the magazine and making her the third model to reach 10 appearances.

From 2010 to 2015 she was in a relationship with the soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo. She was in a relationship with actor Bradley Cooper from 2015 to June 2019. The couple had a daughter, born in March 2017. The couple later separated in June 2019.
