Jonathan Majors is best known for his roles in a number of blockbuster films including The Harder They Fall, The Last Black Man in San Francisco, Da 5 Bloods, Hostiles, Devotion, Creed III and with his role as Kang the Conqueror in the films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In television, he played the title role in the television series Lovecraft Country, for which he received a Screen Actors Guild Award, Critics Choice Television Award and Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series.
On March 25, 2023, Majors was arrested on charges of strangulation and molestation, resulting from a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman, who suffered minor head and neck injuries and was transferred to a hospital in the area in stable condition.
Following the first allegation, a report from Variety said Majors is a suspect in several assault and abuse cases. Several alleged victims have come forward and are cooperating with the New York District Attorney's office.
One of the alleged victims was granted a temporary protective order by a judge against Majors ahead of a May 9 court date.
After the arrest, the US Army announced it was suspending recruitment ads featuring Majors. Several weeks after his arrest, Majors was dropped as a client by both management company Entertainment 360 and public relations firm the Lede Company.
