Adele

Adele was born in London on May 5, 1988. She made her debut in 2008 with the album 19, which received a good reception from music critics and reached number one in the British and Dutch charts. Her second album, 21, was released on January 21, 2011, which was also positively received by critics and reached number one in 25 countries.

On November 25, 2015, thanks to the release of her third album 25, Adele became the first artist to sell over three million copies in one week in the United States alone.

Along with Duffy and the late Amy Winehouse, she is considered one of the new generation of white soul. In 2011, US Billboard magazine awarded Adele the title of Artist of the Year, while US Time magazine praised Adele as one of the most influential women in the world.

The singer has sold around 100 million albums worldwide. At the 2013 Academy Awards ceremony she won the statuette for best song with Skyfall, taken from the film of the same name. For her career achievements, she was awarded the honor of Member of the Order of the British Empire in the same year.

Politically, she is a supporter of the Labour Party, saying in 2011 that she was a "Labour girl through and through", and in the same interview was critical of the Conservative Party.

In 2015, Adele said: "I'm a feminist, I believe that everyone should be treated the same, including race and gender."

In 2019 and 2021, Adele bought two more Beverly Hills mansions for $10.65 million and $10 million, respectively. The latter was purchased from Richie and her husband, Joel Madden. In February 2022, it was reported she bought Sylvester Stallone's 21,000 square foot former mansion in Beverly Park, Los Angeles, for $58 million.

On 13 September 2019, it was reported that Adele had filed for divorce from Simon Konecki in the US. Their divorce was finalised on 4 March 2021.
