Ferrari is an Italian car manufacturer founded by Enzo Ferrari on March 12, 1947, a manufacturer of high-end sports and racing cars and engaged in motor racing.

It is the most titled team in the Formula One world championship, where it has won fifteen driver and sixteen constructor titles.ù

As well as one of the most successful in competitions for Sport Prototype and Gran Turismo cars such as the Sport prototype world championship, with thirteen constructor titles obtained and the FIA World Endurance Championship, where it holds six GT constructors' titles and four GT drivers' titles.

It has established itself several times in classic endurance races such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring and in road races such as the Targa Florio, the Mille Miglia and the Carrera Panamericana.

Ferrari cars are also famous for their exclusivity, so much so that the company has decided to limit production to maintain this characteristic.

With regard to color, since the 1920s Italian racing cars were painted red. This was the usual color for Italian cars competing in car championships on the basis of a measure taken in the years between the two world wars by the association which was later called FIA. In the federation scheme, among others, French cars were blue, Germans white and British green.

The hue of the red gradually changed from a dark red to a noticeably brighter hue, known as «Corsa red». This coloring has remained unchanged for the standard Ferraris, while for the Formula 1 ones after the acquisition by the Fiat Group there have been variations in the shades of red, desired by the various sponsors.
