Angelina Jolie was born in Los Angeles on June 4, 1975.

She achieved international fame playing video game heroine Lara Croft in the films Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) and Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (2003). She has won three consecutive Golden Globes: in 1998 for the TV movie George Wallace, in 1999 for Gia and in 2000 for Girls Interrupted, for which she also won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. In 2009 she received a second Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for her performance in Changeling.
