James Cameron

James Cameron, born in 1954, is a Canadian director, screenwriter, film producer and editor, who became known in the mid-eighties with the film Terminator.
Cameron has directed nine feature films to date, three of which, Avatar, Avatar 2 and Titanic, are respectively the first, third and fourth highest-grossing films in cinema history. His directorial efforts have grossed a combined $5.2 billion.

Alongside his activity as a filmmaker, Cameron ventured into the production of documentaries and later into the conception and implementation of new cinematographic technologies. Cameron also contributed to underwater filming, the development of computer graphics and three-dimensional cinema.

Cameron is also the founder of Lightstorm Entertainment, an independent film production company.

Cameron has been married five times and has four children. His first marriage was in 1976 with Sharon Williams, the second in 1985 with the producer Gale Anne Hurd, the third in 1989 with the director Kathryn Bigelow, the fourth in 1997 with the actress Linda Hamilton. Dalla Hamilton has a daughter, Josephine Archer Cameron, but the marriage ends in 1999. Shortly after Cameron is a steady couple with the actress Suzy Amis, met on the set of Titanic: the two get married in 2000. The couple has three children.
