The films The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), the third collaboration with Fincher, and Moneyball (2011) by Bennett Miller led him respectively to the second and third Oscar nominations for best actor and to the first for best film.

His career as a producer has also been full of successes, such as, in addition to the already mentioned Moneyball, The Tree of Life and 12 Years a Slave, The Departed (2006) by Martin Scorsese and The big short (2015) by Adam McKay, all nominated for an Oscar for best picture. In addition to the aforementioned Oscar, for his performance in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood he won a Critics Choice Award, a Screen Actor Guild Award, a BAFTA Award, a second Golden Globe and an Academy Award for Best Actor hero. Internationally, his films have grossed $7.38 billion.
