
Brad Pitt was born in Shawnee on December 18, 1963. Over the course of his career, he has received numerous accolades for his contributions to the film industry, including two Academy Awards, including one for producing, through Plan B Entertainment, his property, Steve McQueen's film 12 Years a Slave (2013) and the other for Best Supporting Actor for Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019) by Quentin Tarantino.
Pitt first gained notoriety playing a supporting role in Ridley Scott's Thelma & Louise (1991). His career as a producer has also been full of successes, such as, in addition to the already mentioned Moneyball, The Tree of Life and 12 Years a Slave, The Departed (2006) by Martin Scorsese and The big short (2015) by Adam McKay, all nominated for an Oscar for best picture. In addition to the aforementioned Oscar, for his performance in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood he won a Critics Choice Award, a Screen Actor Guild Award, a BAFTA Award, a second Golden Globe and an Academy Award for Best Actor hero. Internationally, his films have grossed $7.38 billion.
