World's Oldest Person's Daily Diet

The British company Eden's Gate conducted research on the oldest people in the world to find out what helped them live long. They investigated six people who were over 100 years old. Of course, diet, stress, and socioeconomic status played a role in how long these record holders lived.

The mentioned company stated that the French woman Jeanne Louise Calment was the oldest person in the world - she lived for 122 years, reports Eat This, Not That magazine. The record longevity of Jeanne Calment (JC), who died in 1997 at 122 years and 164 days, is remarkable, exceeding the longevity of Sarah Knauss, who died in 1999 at 119 years and 97 days.

In spite of initial skepticism, her case has been extensively validated while she was still alive, thanks to the efforts of Dr. Michel Allard and Jean-Marie Robine, who, along with Dr. Victor Lèbre, conducted dozens of interviews with her and, along with archivist Caroline Bisson (Boyer), performed extensive documentation research and verification.

On one occasion, she listed the three foods she ate every day:

She ate it after every meal. Although it may seem strange to some, this food has numerous health benefits. Research published in the magazine Antioxidants & Redox showed that it is beneficial for the heart, that it helps fight cancer and infectious diseases that damage the immune system.

Olive oil

The American Heart Association (AHA) states that olive oil, among other things, contains vitamin E and reduces the level of bad (LDL) cholesterol. Therefore, the risk of heart diseases is lower. Research results published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology showed that consuming large amounts of olive oil is associated with longer life.

Doctors advise to use it instead of margarine and mayonnaise.

Calment stated that she especially liked to drink port, a red wine made in Portugal. Many people consume this type of wine as part of the Mediterranean diet, which has been declared the healthiest for the body. Of course, it is important that you consume a moderate amount, no more than one glass a day.
