The popular singer and actress Ariana Grande has overtaken even reality queen Kim Kardashian, with 357 million followers and the title of the seventh most followed profile on Instagram.
Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock, is the only actor on the list and comes in sixth place with 365 million followers.
Kylie Jenner and Selena Gomez Battle for the Top
Cosmetics mogul and reality star Kylie Jenner, who became the first woman in the world to reach 300 million followers on Instagram, is still the most followed Kardashian with 380 million followers.
However, she has lost her title as the most followed woman on the platform to singer and actress Selena Gomez, who currently boasts 381 million followers.
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo
Although Lionel Messi, the famous football player, doesn't have the most followed profile on Instagram, he does have the most popular post of all time.
After winning the World Cup, Messi's post of him raising the trophy above the crowd reached more than 75 million likes and overtook the infamous "world_record_egg" post. He comes in third place with 432 million followers. Portuguese football player Cristiano Ronaldo, on the other hand, recently broke another record by becoming the most followed person on Instagram with 550 million followers.
