Bill Gates' Surprising Choice of Smartphone

Bill Gates, the founder and long-time CEO of Microsoft, has revealed that he uses a Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 foldable smartphone. This revelation comes as a surprise to many, as one would expect Gates to use a Surface Dio, Microsoft's smartphone with two screens.

In a recent Reddit Ask Me Anything session, Gates responded to a question about his choice of smartphone by saying, "With this screen, I can get by with a great portable PC and the phone and nothing else." He also revealed that he had been given the phone by Samsung President JY Lee during a visit to South Korea.

Gates has a long-standing admiration for Samsung technology

Despite his role at Microsoft, Gates has always been open about his admiration for Samsung's technology. In a similar conversation with Reddit users last year, he revealed that he had been using the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

Now, it appears that he has upgraded to the latest model, the Galaxy Z Fold 4. Gates' choice of smartphone is all the more surprising given his current net worth of $111 billion, according to Bloomberg's list of billionaires.

This places him in fifth place on the list, behind individuals such as Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos. It's not the first time that Bill Gates has surprised us with his choice of technology. With this revelation, it seems that even the richest person in the world prefers the best product, regardless of the brand.

Under his leadership, Microsoft developed and released some of the most popular and widely-used software in the world, including Windows and Office. Gates has also been heavily involved in philanthropy, through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

The foundation focuses on improving healthcare and reducing poverty in developing countries, and has been praised for its impact and effectiveness. In addition to his philanthropic efforts, Gates has also been a vocal advocate for technology as a tool for improving education and increasing access to information.

He has been a strong supporter of initiatives to bring technology and internet access to underprivileged communities around the world.
