He was born on May 8, 1926, in Isleworth, England. He was born as a middle child of Federick Attenborough and Mary Clegg. His elder brother, Richard, as well as his younger brother John, is no more with us. David Attenborough went to Wyggeston Granner School for Boys in Leicester.
He was a very bright kid, and he even won a scholarship to Clare College, Cambridge in 1945 where he studied geology and zoology obtaining a degree in natural sciences.
