At Sunday's (3/7) 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards, Chris Stapleton brought out Dua Lipa for a dazzling live version of "Think I'm in Love With You," from Stapleton's critically lauded 2023 album, "Higher." One of the night's best moments, the performance has since been issued as "Think I'm In Love With You (with Dua Lipa) (Live From the 59th ACM Awards)"—its title for streaming services moving forward:.

The country music powerhouse and pop phenomenon joined forces after recognizing each other's talent and working instinctually. Dua Lipa expressed to Billboard while working with Stapleton: "Being a massive fan of his was the primary driver for this collaboration".

"He is a master in his craft. The ability to sit down with him, brainstorm and be able to put something special to the side for my ACM performance was an exciting process." And Stapleton, who would go on to take home Album of the Year at the ACMs for the fourth time in that category, tells Entertainment Tonight it all just kind of came together.

"Collaborating had been an idea for a little while," he said. "We were able to carve out a little bit of time to rehearse two days before the show: whirlwind-like, but satisfying beyond measure."

Bridging Musical Genres

The performance marked a milestone in each artist's career, and it crossed the boundary that had always existed between country and pop music, showing just how versatile each performer really is by the committed creation of their craft.

And the raw authenticity due to last-minute preparation of their show brought performance that captured both fans and critics. At this point in their respective careers, the collaboration is rather something. Where, of course, Stapleton is basking in the continued success of his solo album, Dua has only just released her third studio album earlier this month, titled "Radical Optimism," and has been perhaps one of pop's most visited figures these last two years.

"Think I'm in Love With You (Live)" races across the streaming field, and fans will be taken back to a night where each artist sparkled alone, and together they created something unforgettable. This one's gonna grab an audience and give both artists the powerhouse status they deserve in their respective genres.
