In a significant announcement ahead of the 66th annual Grammy Awards, the distinguished MusiCares foundation has bestowed upon rock legend Jon Bon Jovi the title of "Person of the Year." This accolade will be formally presented during the 33rd MusiCares annual benefit gala slated for February 2nd at the renowned Los Angeles Convention Center.

MusiCares, which is held in high esteem within the music fraternity for its philanthropic endeavors, is gearing up for a grand celebration in 2024. Laura Segura, the executive director of MusiCares, articulated the organization’s elation in recognizing Bon Jovi.

His laudable Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation epitomizes this commitment, having been instrumental in pioneering initiatives that profoundly impact communities.

Expressing gratitude for this acknowledgment, Jon Bon Jovi shared, "To be the MusiCares honoree is both an honor and humbling. The foundation’s devotion to the well-being of music professionals resonates deeply with me.

Throughout my journey, I've always endeavored to parallel my musical pursuits with acts of charity. Establishing the JBJ Soul Foundation and the subsequent Soul Kitchens almost two decades ago was driven by this passion. The essence of community service, I believe, is intrinsically linked to personal growth." As he basks in this accolade, Jon Bon Jovi is in illustrious company, joining the ranks of past honorees like Berry Gordy, Smokey Robinson, the iconic Joni Mitchell, the legendary Fleetwood Mac, and the ever-charismatic Dolly Parton.
