Addressing her journey to recovery during a sensational London performance on October 14, the 'Like a Virgin' superstar revealed the gravity of her situation, stating, "I didn't think I was going to make it, neither did my doctors.

That's why I woke up with all of my children sitting around me." Madonna went on to share her motivation for fighting through the ordeal, emphasizing, "If you want to know my secret, and you want to know how I pulled through and how I survived, I thought, 'I've got to be there for my children.

I have to survive for them.' " The electrifying show took place at London's O2 Arena, where Madonna paid tribute to legendary artists like Prince, Michael Jackson, and Sinead O'Connor. The emotional ballad 'In This Life' from her 1992 album 'Erotica' resonated through the arena while images of AIDS epidemic victims were displayed on giant screens.

Madonna also honored her late friend and artist Keith Haring by performing her 1986 hit 'Live to Tell' amidst his imagery.
