In a heartfelt gesture, Nigerian singer and rapper Sulaimon Solomon, professionally known as Khaid, has extended a helping hand to support Liam Aloba, the son of the late Nigerian music sensation, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

The 27-year-old Mohbad, who had earlier been signed to Marlian Record under Naira Marley's label but parted ways with the label in February 2022, sadly passed away last Tuesday. Khaid, deeply affected by the loss of a great talent and friend, took to his social media platform to announce his contribution.

He pledged a generous sum of N2 million to support Mohbad's grieving family. Additionally, Khaid revealed his commitment to conveying 100% of the royalties from the recently released tribute song, "Forever," to Liam Aloba Eyinimofeoluwa, Mohbad's son.

In a heartfelt message, Khaid stated, "In my own little way, I'll love to support the family by giving N2 Million to the wife of our late brother and convey 100% royalties of the newly released tribute song 'Forever' to Liam Aloba Eyinimofeoluwa.

Rest On IMOLE."

Government Collaboration in Mohbad Investigation

The tragic loss of Mohbad has left a significant void in the Nigerian music industry, and tributes continue to pour in from fellow artists and fans alike.

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has also taken a keen interest in the case. He has invited the Department of State Services (DSS) to join the investigation into Mohbad's untimely demise. This collaborative approach aims to employ the best-in-class technology and inter-agency coordination to uncover the truth behind the tragedy.

The government is committed to ensuring that all individuals who may have played a role in the events leading to Mohbad's passing face legal consequences. The Lagos State government, through its Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, issued a statement emphasizing the importance of confidentiality and witness protection throughout the investigation.

They are urging anyone with vital information to come forward and assist in the process. In another development, Mohbad's management has announced a candlelight procession and tribute night in honor of the late artist. This solemn event will provide an opportunity for friends, family, and fans to come together and pay their respects to the talented musician who left an indelible mark on the Nigerian music scene.

Khaid's generous donation and commitment to honoring Mohbad's legacy through royalties demonstrate the solidarity and support that the Nigerian music community can offer during difficult times. The collaboration between law enforcement agencies and the government underscores the determination to seek justice for Mohbad, his family, and his devoted fans.

As the investigation unfolds and the Nigerian music industry mourns the loss of a rising star, the candlelight procession and tribute night will serve as poignant reminders of the impact Mohbad had on the hearts of many. His legacy lives on through the music and the support of fellow artists like Khaid.
