Taylor Swift supports the LGBT community at a concert: I feel so “prideful”

As part of her Eras Tour, Taylor Swift gave an interesting speech. As a matter of fact, this popular singer has decided to support the LGBT community, and she has shown that she stands firmly behind the community. In the past few years, the LGBT community has received a great deal of support from a variety of sources.

It was Swift's desire to be an important link in that support chain. “I’m looking out tonight [and] I’m seeing so many incredible individuals who are living authentically and beautifully, and this is a safe space for you,” - she said.

“This is a celebratory space for you”. In the midst of all the excitement, Swift was overwhelmed by the support of the audience, which sang her songs and enjoyed the moment. "I feel so “prideful” when I see the fans be so loving and so thoughtful and so caring.

You guys are screaming those lyrics [with] such solidarity [and] such support of one another and such encouraging, beautiful acceptance and peace and safety,” Swift said.

Swift asked her fans to support those who will stand up for the LGBT community during the elections.

“And I wish that every place was safe and beautiful for people of the LGBTQ+ community. We can support as much as we want during Pride Month, but if we’re not doing our research on these elected officials, are they advocates? Are they allies? Are they protectors of equality?” - she asked.

Taylor Swift recently supported the LGBT community via Instagram. “In the past I’ve been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now,” Swift wrote.

“I believe in the fight for LGBTQ rights, and that any form of discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender is WRONG,” - she said.
