Mark Sheehan, guitarist, and co-founder of the Irish rock band The Script, has passed away. Sheehan died at the hospital, according to media reports. Fans of the band The Script were informed via social media that a member of the group had passed away.

Ireland's president Michael D Higgins emphasized how big a mark Mark left along with other band members. There is a great void left by his death. "It was a mark of the originality and excellence that Mark and his bandmates in The Script sought that they saw such success across the world, including six number one albums in the UK and a number three album in the United States - a truly remarkable achievement," he said.
