This year's Eurovision Song Contest, set to take place in Liverpool, UK, promises to be a star-studded affair, with several renowned artists slated to make guest appearances during the semi-final breaks. With the Grand Final's lineup to be announced soon, the semi-final evenings are already shaping up to be an unforgettable experience for both viewers at home and the audience in attendance.

Leading the Semi-Finals with Music and Hosting Duties

The semi-final evenings will be led by a talented ensemble of hosts, including actress Hannah Waddingham, musician Alesha Dixon, and Ukrainian singer Julia Sanina. The first semi-final will commence with Sanina herself opening the show with a performance of part of the song "Maak" by her band, The Hardkiss.

Later in the evening, Rita Ora will take the stage, delivering a medley of her biggest hits, as well as a world exclusive performance of her new single, "Praising You". Joining Ora on stage will be Ukrainian singer Alyosha, who represented her country at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest, and British musician Rebecca Ferguson, runner-up of the UK's "The X Factor".

Reflecting on her performance, Ferguson stated, "It's going to be a celebration of Liverpool and Ukraine through music." With the birth of her fourth child in February, Ferguson jokingly added, "I'm hoping to squeeze into some kind of dress." The second semi-final will feature Marija Yaremchuk, who represented Ukraine at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, along with rapper OTOY and 14-year-old Zlata Dziunka, who represented Ukraine at last year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

A Memorable Experience for All

As the UK takes on hosting duties on behalf of 2022 winners Ukraine, following the Russian invasion, the Eurovision Song Contest will be held at Liverpool ACC in May.

The final evening will see the addition of well-known host Graham Norton, joining the previously announced hosts. The contestants will be announced by Sam Quek, Mel Giedroyc, Rylan, Scott Mills, and Timur Miroshnichenko. Kate Phillips, BBC's Director of Unscripted, expressed her excitement for the upcoming event, stating, "There won't be a moment to miss during these very entertaining and very tense semi-finals.

Good luck to all the countries involved as they compete for a place in what's going to be an unforgettable grand final."
