During the course of the past year, the famous singer Celine Dion has revealed that she suffers from a rare disease. A few days ago, the singer spoke in public to her fans, and she spoke with tears in her eyes about the syndrome of a stiff person.
One out of a million people suffer from this disease which is characterized by frequent muscle spasms. The person suffering from the syndrome has a hard time moving and losing the ability to speak, and the syndrome is most known for making those who suffer from it look like human statues as they lose their ability to move over time.
In spite of the fact that there has been no cure for this disease yet, there are treatments that can slow down the progress of the disease. It appears that the singer had to cancel her European tour as a result of the illness, which she addressed to her fans through Instagram.
Instagram message
- "Hello everyone, I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I miss you all so much and I can't wait to be on stage and talk to you in person. As you know, I have always been an open book, but earlier I was not ready to say anything, now I am ready to share this situation with you.
I have been dealing with health problems for a long time and it was really hard for me to face the challenges and talk about everything I was going through. I was recently diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder called Stiff Person Syndrome which affects one in a million people.
Now I know that's what caused all the cramps I've been having," she said.
Celine Dion is worried about the strange situation happening to her at the moment. We wish her a speedy recovery. We hope that she will come out stronger from everything.
