A$AP Rocky (actual name: Rakim Mayers) was born on October 3, 1988, in Harlem, New York City. His only known parent is Adrian Mayers who is from Barbados, and his mother is an African-American woman. Apart from his parents, he also has an older sister named Erika B.

On July 2018, ASAP and Tyler, the Creator shook hands for the collaborative project; WANGSAP by releasing a remix music video of Monika's Knock Knock named "Potato Salad."
