Simultaneously, progress is being made on The Village ?mokoroa, a multimillion-dollar commercial development. The first phase of this venture is set to conclude by the following month. Additionally, earthworks are underway for a $75 million retail and residential hub in ?mokoroa.
The Sanderson Group has confirmed that the Omokoroa Country Club pre-sales have surpassed expectations, with numerous villas already sold. Residents are anticipated to start moving in by February of next year. The retirement village will boast an expansive 1700-square-meter clubhouse, including a bar, café, dance floor, billiards room, state-of-the-art movie theatre, and library.
Further enhancing the luxurious experience, an exclusive 700-square-meter health spa will feature a swimming pool, spa, sauna, gymnasium, hairdresser, and specialized consulting rooms for beauty treatments and massage therapy.
The village will also include an 80-bed dementia care facility and a stunning lakehouse that overlooks the picturesque Waipapa stream in Whakam?rama, considered one of the village's crown jewels. While the main clubhouse café will be open to the public, the other amenities will be exclusive to residents and their families.

With public biking tracks encircling the property, a golf driving range, and an international-size bowling green, the developers aspire to set a new standard in retirement living. In parallel with the retirement village project, The Village ?mokoroa, developed by Foster Develop Limited, is on track for completion next month.
Occupying prime real estate adjacent to the FreshChoice supermarket on the corner of Tralee St and Hamurana Rd, this commercial development will encompass 4500 square meters of retail and commercial space, providing an array of amenities and employment opportunities for the community.
Furthermore, progress is underway for the $75 million Omokoroa Town Centre, which obtained resource consent in May 2021. Jace Investments Limited has invested significantly in environmental initiatives and plans to commence the second stage of earthworks soon, followed by infrastructure development.
The Mayor of Western Bay of Plenty, James Denyer, expresses enthusiasm for these transformative developments in ?mokoroa, emphasizing the town's growth potential.
