Jaguar has refreshed its popular F-Pace SUV, making significant improvements to the hybrid "plug-in" version of the car. The most significant update is the inclusion of a larger capacity lithium-ion battery, which powers the electric motor in the P400e version of the F-Pace.
The 19.2 kWh battery allows the car to travel for 65 kilometers (WLTP) without using gasoline, an increase of 20% compared to the previous version. The car can be charged from 0 to 80% in 30 minutes using a 35 kW DC charger and from 0 to 100% in 2 hours and 30 minutes using a 7 kW charger.
The rest of the car's specifications remain largely unchanged, with the P400e offering 400 horsepower and 680 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 240 km/h. The most powerful version of the F-Pace, the SVR, is powered by a 5-liter V8 gasoline engine with a mechanical compressor, offering 550 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque.
It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds and has a top speed of 286 km/h.
F-PACE: Luxurious, Connected, Electrified
"The new F-PACE is dynamic and assertive with an elegant stance on the road – it represents a significant development of Jaguar design language.
The heightened luxury and attention to detail inside the F-PACE with seamlessly integrated state-of-the-art technologies ensure both driver and passengers feel a real sense of occasion whenever they get in the vehicle." said Julian Thomson, Jaguar Design Director.
The refreshed Jaguar F-Pace also boasts several advanced features designed to improve occupant comfort and wellbeing. One of these is the Active Road Noise Cancellation system, which uses strategically placed microphones and speakers to cancel out low-frequency road noise, making for a more peaceful and relaxing driving experience.
The F-Pace also has an advanced cabin air ionisation system with PM2.5 filtration, which captures ultrafine particles and allergens to ensure the air inside the car is as clean and pure as possible. In addition to these comfort features, the F-Pace also offers Software-Over-The-Air (SOTA) capability, which ensures that the latest vehicle systems and infotainment updates are installed seamlessly and remotely, keeping the car up-to-date with the latest technology.
This means that drivers can enjoy the latest features and functions without the need for a trip to the dealership. Overall, the refreshed Jaguar F-Pace is a sophisticated and well-equipped SUV that offers a range of advanced features to enhance the driving experience.
All versions of the refreshed F-Pace come equipped with 19-inch alloy wheels, a digital instrument panel, and a Pivi Pro multimedia system with voice control that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Jaguar has previously announced that it plans to produce only electric vehicles from 2025, so the F-Pace and SVR models may not be around for much longer. The only Jaguar model that is expected to remain in production is the I-Pace, an all-electric SUV.
