The Icon of the Seas will be the biggest cruise ship in 2024

The Royal Caribbean company has presented illustrations of the eagerly awaited cruise ship that will be the largest in the world. It is a cruise ship called Icon of the Seas, which will be completed at the end of 2023, and the first voyage is planned for January 2024.

The cruise ship will offer all the advantages of beaches, resorts and theme parks and will provide guests with different types of entertainment regardless of age.

What will the Icon of the Seas offer in 2024?

  • Thrill Island: a climbing wall experience.
  • Category 6, the largest water park at sea, with six record-breaking slides;
  • Pressure Drop and its 66-degree incline make it the industry’s first open free-fall slide; the 14-metre high Frightening Bolt, the highest drop slide at sea;
  • Storm Surge and Hurricane Hunter, the first family slides at sea with four passengers per raft; and Storm Chasers, the cruise ship’s first mat racing duo.
  • Crown’s Edge zip line: travelers glide down from around 45 meters above the ocean.
  • Seven pools for seven moods: Swim & Tonic, the line’s first aquatic bar at sea; Royal Bay Pool, the largest pool at sea; Cloud 17, an adults-only retreat; Cove Pool, infinity pool style; plus two pools for under-6s, Splashaway Bay and Baby Bay.

    The Hideaway, a beach club on a cruise ship, is the best of the best.

  • Bars and restaurants: The Lime & Coconut, which includes Royal Caribbean’s first frozen cocktail bar. Plus more than 15 restaurants, cafes, bars and lounges, including Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar on the Royal Promenade and the Asian-inspired Izumi in Central Park.
  • And more.

    .. There will also be mini golf at Lost Dunes, rock climbing at Adrenaline Peak and Absolute Zero, Royal Caribbean’s largest ice rink.

The cruiser offers adrenaline-pumping thrills, including the largest water park at sea and unrivaled ways to relax with more ocean views and pools than ever before (one for each day of the week).

There are more than 40 new and familiar options of bars and nightclubs, as well as top entertainment. Icon of the Seas is divided into five "neighborhoods", each of which has its own unique qualities. Trill Island is home to the largest water park at sea with six record-breaking water slides.

Chill Island has a pool for every "mood", and there is also the first swim-up bar at sea called Swim & Tonic. Also, Royal Bay Pool is the largest pool at sea, and Surfside is a resort intended exclusively for young families.

For those looking for peace, there is the AquaDome oasis, and the Hideaway is a combination of good beach clubs and unobstructed ocean views. Numerous restaurants, cafes, and bars with a fantastic view of the ocean are at guests' disposal.
