Hilaria, Alec Baldwin's wife, says they are 'not okay' year after the fatal shooting

Hilaria Baldwin spoke publicly for the first time about the tragedy that befell her husband Alec Baldwin. Hilaria Baldwin openly admitted that she and her husband Alec Baldwin are not doing well after the tragic shooting on the set of the movie during an interview with Extra.

Hilaria said: "We're not OK. We can't be Ok. No one's OK," The emotional statement came just over a year after cameraman Halyna Hutchins was fatally shot on set in October 2021 by an accidental gunshot while Alec Baldwin was holding a gun.

The mother of seven children further stated:

"It was and is a tragedy that nobody could ever have imagined." Her and Alec's youngest child, daughter Ilaria Catalina Irena, who was born this September, was with her at the interview.

Alec and Hilaria already have six children together. Last year, they surprised everyone with the announcement of a new addition to the family, because just a few months earlier Hilaria gave birth to their fifth child, but later it was discovered that their son was born by a surrogate mother.

Baldwin also has a 26-year-old daughter, Ireland, with his ex-wife Kim Basinger. They shared the news of the family expansion five months after the fatal shooting on the set of "Rust" in New Mexico, where the actor accidentally killed cameraman Halyna Hutchins and wounded director Joel Souza.

The FBI concluded an investigation in August concluding that Baldwin pulled the trigger of the gun that killed Hutchins, despite his repeated claims that he did not. In October of this year, however, a settlement was agreed upon, but the amount was not disclosed at the time.

"More than anyone else on that set, Baldwin has been wrongfully viewed as the perpetrator of this tragedy," the lawsuit stated. "By these Cross-Claims, Baldwin seeks to clear his name and hold Cross-Defendants accountable for their misconduct." In a post on Instagram, the actor wrote that he was "grateful to everyone who contributed to the solution of that tragic and painful event." The settlement ended a civil lawsuit filed by the Hutchins family against Baldwin.
