In an exciting weekend at the box office, three new wide releases are set to debut, but none are expected to overshadow the anticipation for Legendary/Warner Bros.' "Dune: Part Two," slated for a March 1 release with projections of an $80 million opening.

Paramount's biopic "Bob Marley: One Love" is poised to continue its box office dominance with an estimated second-weekend haul of $15 million, a modest 45% drop from its $28.6 million opening. This impressive performance is expected to eclipse the newcomers: Focus Features' Ethan Coen-directed comedy "Drive-Away Dolls," Sony/Crunchyroll's anime feature "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba - To The Hashira Training," and Lionsgate/Kingdom Story's "Ordinary Angels," all debuting this Friday.

Sony/Marvel's "Madame Web" is also in the mix, though it's anticipated to see a steeper decline of about 55%, bringing in around $6.8 million. Despite a less-than-stellar C+ CinemaScore, the Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney-led thriller remains a topic of interest.

Marley Leads, Web Resilient

As of now, "Bob Marley: One Love" boasts a running cumulative total of $54.4 million, while "Madame Web" lags behind with $27.8 million. Interestingly, "Madame Web" has shown resilience, particularly among Hispanic and Latino audiences, a demographic it has significantly drawn in.

However, "Bob Marley: One Love" has also resonated with the same audience segments. Industry insiders suggest that those who flocked to "Madame Web" last weekend might turn their attention to the reggae legend's biopic this time around.

Of the new entries, "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba - To The Hashira Training" is projected to lead with an estimated $7 million to $8 million. While not a traditional movie, this anime offering, bolstered by premium large format and IMAX screens, presents the final episode of the Swordsmith Village Arc and the premiere of the Hashira Training Arc.

This unique cinematic event marks the first time these episodes are screened in theaters, with Episode 11 previously available on Crunchyroll. The film is set to screen in 1,940 locations, with previews starting at 4 PM on Thursday in 1,820 theaters.

As the box office gears up for the heavy hitters in the coming weeks, "Bob Marley: One Love" seems poised to maintain its high note, drawing diverse audiences and showcasing the lasting appeal of the iconic musician's legacy.
