Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse continued its spectacular run at the box office, capturing the top spot in its fourth week of release. The highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 animated hit, Into the Spider-Verse, mesmerized audiences and generated $19.3 million in domestic ticket sales.

This brings its total earnings in the United States to an impressive $317 million. The film added another $22 million to its impressive tally on the international front, resulting in a global box office haul of $560.3 million.

Notably, Across the Spider-Verse had already achieved the distinction of the second-largest opening in 2023, a testament to its enduring popularity and the anticipation it generated among fans.

Elemental Holds Strong in Second

Meanwhile, Pixar's Elemental maintained its position in second place, having debuted last week.

The captivating fantasy adventure added $18.5 million to its domestic earnings, accumulating $65.5 million in the United States and an impressive $121 million worldwide. In a surprising turn of events, The Flash stumbled from its promising debut atop the box office last week, falling to third place.

The DC superhero film earned $15.3 million during the weekend, bringing its domestic revenue to $87.6 million. The Flash's global total now stands at $210.9 million. No Hard Feelings, an R-rated comedy starring Jennifer Lawrence, entered the box office charts with $15.1 million.

The film, which revolves around Maddie, who takes up a peculiar job involving the romantic involvement of a shy 19-year-old, Percy, is a hilarious and heartwarming story. Despite a modest budget of $45 million, No Hard Feelings managed to captivate audiences and achieve a decent opening weekend.

Completing the top 5, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, in its third week of release, raked in $11.6 million. The action-packed film's domestic earnings now stand at $122.9 million, while its global total has reached an impressive $341.2 million.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse's continued dominance, coupled with the performance of other notable films, showcases the diversity and popularity of the current box office landscape.
