When Johnny Depp appeared at the premiere of his new film at Cannes in early May, he spoke about a variety of topics during his speech. As a personality, Depp has always been an interesting one, but after the trial with his ex-wife, Amber Heard, Depp was under immense pressure from the public and the main topic of various media outlets due to the trial.
Heard's supporters launched the #CannesYouNot campaign on social media. Apparently, Depp is not overly concerned about it, as he seems to be focused on some other things that are of a totally different nature. As part of one of his interviews, Depp spoke about Hollywood in some detail.
Hollywood does not seem to have a great reputation in the eyes of this actor. There is no doubt that he knows what kind of things are done in that place because of his extensive experience there over the years. "I don't feel boycotted by Hollywood, because I don't think about Hollywood," Depp said, as quoted by cbsnews.com "It's a strange, funny time where everybody would love to be able to be themselves, but they can't.
They must fall in line with the person in front of them. If you want to live that life, I wish you the best."
Johnny Depp and his future
Despite the fact that there was a lot of talk about Depp leaving acting and dedicating himself to another life, this experienced actor denied that he would do so in the future.
There is nothing more important to him in life than acting, and it is something that runs in his blood. The future plans include filming a lot and showing his acting abilities. "I've had about 17 comebacks apparently," Depp said.
"I keep wondering about the word 'comeback' because I didn't go anywhere. As a matter of fact, I live about 45 minutes away."
