Netflix, the leading streaming service, made an exciting announcement on Monday that an animated version of the popular sci-fi series "Stranger Things" is on the horizon. The Duffer brothers, the creators of the show, revealed that they have several spinoff projects in the works, including the highly anticipated animated edition.

Bringing a Childhood Dream to Life

The Duffer brothers expressed their excitement about bringing the animated version of "Stranger Things" to life in a statement. They revealed that they had always dreamed of an animated adaptation reminiscent of the Saturday morning cartoons they grew up loving.

The brothers praised Eric Robles and his team at Flying Bark Productions for their incredible work on the scripts and artwork. "We’ve always dreamt of an animated Stranger Things in the vein of the Saturday morning cartoons that we grew up loving, and to see this dream realized has been absolutely thrilling," said Matt and Ross Duffer in a statement.

"We couldn’t be more blown away by what Eric Robles and his team have come up with — the scripts and artwork are incredible, and we can’t wait to share more with you! The adventure continues …”

Details Remain Scarce

Despite the exciting announcement, Netflix has not yet revealed any details about the series or its plot.

Eric Robles and Flying Bark Productions will be in charge of bringing the animated version of "Stranger Things" to life. In addition to the animated series, Netflix also announced plans for an untitled live-action spinoff series and a stage play, "Stranger Things: The First Shadow," set to begin production later this year.

The Duffer brothers, however, will not be working on these new projects as they are currently focusing on finishing the script for the fifth season of the series, set to be filmed this summer with a planned release in 2024.

The announcement of an animated version of "Stranger Things" has fans eagerly anticipating what the Duffer brothers, Eric Robles, and Flying Bark Productions have in store for them. The adventure continues in the world of Stranger Things.
