Hollywood heartthrob Keanu Reeves recently opened up about his most uncomfortable day on set while filming the movie "Knock Knock," directed by Eli Roth. Reeves played the role of architect Evan Webber in the film, which features two mysterious women who enter Webber's house and seduce him, leading to a game of cat and mouse.
Intimate Scenes with a Friend's Wife
While the film starred Lorenzo Izzo and Ana de Armas, Reeves found it difficult to film intimate scenes with Izzo, who was Roth's then-wife at the time. In an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel's show, the actor admitted, "Not for me, Jimmy," when asked if he found the scene more uncomfortable than usual.
He went on to explain that while adult scenes can be "weird," he worked hard with Roth, who is also his friend, to ease any unintentional awkwardness. Despite their efforts, Reeves confessed, "Eli created a great situation of trust and rehearsals, but eventually, you have to get naked and simulate and do..."
Hollywood's Ultimate Nice Guy
Reeves proved himself to be Hollywood's ultimate nice guy by thanking Roth and the producers for their support during the awkward shoot.
The actor blushed as he stated, "He was really cool. We had fun." Despite the uncomfortable situation, the sex scene in "Knock Knock" didn't seem to affect their friendship, as Roth was more than happy to shock audiences with the scene and stated, "I want people to come out of this movie going, 'Oh my God, I completely didn't expect it to go there.'
" Keanu Reeves' experience filming the intimate scenes in "Knock Knock" was uncomfortable, but with the support of his friend and director Eli Roth, the actor was able to get through it and maintain their strong friendship.
