The Last of Us 2 for PS4 is once again one of the best-selling video games. One of the best video games of all time is experiencing a second youth, thanks also to the side effects of the success of the HBO TV series The Last of Us.

The Last of Us 2 turns out to be first in North America and Europe, where on PS5 we find Hogwarts Legacy instead. Not only that: the TV series effect has also brought The Last of Us: Remastered back into the standings, demonstrating how the relaunch of the videogame series is perfectly successful, thanks to the excellent results achieved by the TV series.

About The Last of Us II

The Last of Us Part II (The Last of Us Part II) is a dynamic adventure video game, with a post-apocalyptic background, developed by the production house Naughty Dog exclusively for PlayStation 4.

It is the sequel to The Last of Us and is takes place five years after the latter. The game was released on June 19, 2020, after several delays. Although it has received mixed opinions from the public, The Last of Us Part II is often cited among the best video games ever; was officially the most awarded video game of 2020 as well as of the entire gaming history after reaching and exceeding the milestone of 300 awards for Game of the Year for the first time (321 GOTY, Game Of The Year), surpassing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (270) and the prequel The Last of Us (256).

Among the many awards obtained, the Ultimate Game of the Year at the Golden Joystick Awards 2020 and the Game of the Year at the Game Awards 2020 stand out. On May 19, 2021 the game received a dedicated patch for PlayStation 5 (version 1.08), the free download of which provides the title with a technical update, making it now runable natively in 4K (with compatible screens) at 60fps, doubling the frame-rate compared to to its PS4/PS4 Pro counterpart.

The update also introduces various minor improvements, including reduced load times and increased draw distance.
The Last of Us Part II is a survival video game with action and stealth elements and horror overtones set in a large, but still closed world.

The player can use firearms and improvised weapons to defend against hostile humans or Cordyceps-infected creatures. The game mode resumes and perfects the one seen in the previous title. As the player controls the player character, he will be able to move freely within the game environment, jumping and climbing from one point to another.

The player can crawl on the ground in a prone position to escape from enemies, without being heard. In the game, the player will be able to be assisted by a non-player character. The events in the game are set in 4 American locations: Jackson, Seattle, Salt Lake City and Santa Barbara.

The game sees the return of Listening Mode, which allows the player to locate enemies through a heightened sense of hearing, indicated as outlines visible through walls and objects. The player can collect supplements, to improve skill properties, through a special tree.

The main branches of the skill tree are: Survival, Crafting and Stealth. By improving Survivability, increases health, time of use of Listening Mode and shooting distance. Improving Crafting increases the crafting speed and ability to craft stun, smoke, or blast grenades.

By improving Stealth, it increases movement speed, allows you to stealthily kill enemies faster, and unlocks the silencer for the pistol. The Last of Us Part II introduces watchdogs, which can track the player's scent.
