Law's Captain Hook
Law, who is now 50 years old, has described his excitement for his role as Captain Hook, stating that the character and story of "Peter Pan" were a significant part of his childhood and had a profound impact on his imagination.
The actor went on to discuss the process of bringing the hook to life, explaining that there were many different versions before the ironmonger got it just right. Law was lucky to be included in the process of working out the small details, which he believes will add depth and a new slant to the film.
“It was such an important part of growing up, the impact of that film and that world. The way it penetrated and exploded my imagination,” Law told Variety. “There are one or two more times every day where I’m walking on set and it hits me like a child.
I get awestruck by certain characters that are around me, that I can’t say. “ Law also spoke about the excitement of putting on the entire costume, saying that he never let the children see him as Jude, and that he would sneak in fully dressed before filming to maintain the reverence the character demanded.
