The Witcher series has recently undergone major changes. Henry Cavill is leaving the role of Geralt of Rivia, he will be replaced by Liam Hemsworth, but before the new season of The Witcher, the end of this year will be marked by a spin-off series.

This all comes after Warner Bros and Cavill confirmed his return as Superman earlier this week. The British actor will once again don the red cape and continue where he left off in Snyder's critically acclaimed version of Justice League.

The Witcher: Blood Origin is a prequel, set 1200 years before the events with Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri. By focusing on the civilization of the elves, the screenwriters want to approximate how the world looked like before the Conjunction of the Spheres cataclysm, before the worlds were connected.

The main characters will be three elves – Scian, Eile and Fjall, each from their own clan, and we will follow them on their revenge journey and witness the first prototype of the Witcher and the Golden Age of Elves.

Finally, ahead of its premiere on Christmas Day, Blood Origin got a real, big trailer that reveals a lot of important details we've been craving for the last few months. It will have 4 episodes, which as a whole will conclude that extremely important event in the Witcher universe.

Henry Cavill is officially back in the Superman suit

Cavill did the work during this year and will do it until the third season, which Netflix plans to broadcast in the summer of 2023, and then Liam Hemsworth will take the main role in the already confirmed fourth season of the series.

"My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures, and alas, I will be laying down my medallion and my swords for Season 4. In my stead, the fantastic Mr. Liam Hemsworth will be taking up the mantle of the White Wolf.

As with the greatest of literary characters, I pass the torch with reverence for the time spent embodying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam's take on this most fascinating and nuanced of men. Liam, good sir, this character has such a wonderful depth to him, enjoy diving in and seeing what you can find."
