The official trailer for the fourth installment of "John Wick" has finally arrived, and it is already clear from the first that a lot of excitement awaits us again, which was not lacking in the previous films. On the YouTube channel of the production company Lionsgate, the trailer for "John Wick: Chapter 4" has appeared, which shows Keanu Reeves, once again dragged into the world of darkness, to right the wrongs of the past.

The synopsis for the new film reveals that Wick "finds a way to defeat the High Table," the organized crime organization he's battled in past film installments. Before Wick succeeds in his mission and "earns his freedom," he must face a new enemy and forces that will turn even his old friends against him.

The two-and-a-half-minute trailer opens with Wick mourning his dead wife Helen (Bridget Moynahan), before confronting Caine (Donnie Yen), and also features a new villain on Wick's journey, the Marquis de Gramont, played by Bill Skarsgard.

Some of the other actors who joined Reeves are Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, Lance Reddick, pop musician Rina Sawayama, Scott Adkins, Marko Zaror, Natalie Tena, and Aimée Kwan. The director of the film is Chad Stahelski, while behind the screenplay are Shay Hatten, Michael Finch and Derek Kolstad.

Director Breaks Down the Series' New Characters

"[Bill Skarsgård's] character's name, his broad name, is The Marquis," Stahelski shared with Collider. "The Marquis is, without giving too much away, I wouldn't really say the antagonist, but he's the one in charge of cleaning up all the messes from the first three movies." "Shamier's a whole different kind of character.

His character's name's the Tracker. Again, name says it all," Stahelski detailed. "Everyone's got a purpose. Everybody's got a reason. Everybody's got a motivation. His is, at least initially, he's self-motivated. He becomes a character that's in the gray area between the two worlds, the Wick world, and the real world." The new sequel is described, "John Wick (Keanu Reeves) uncovers a path to defeating the High Table.

But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes." Deadline also reported that Reeves is in talks to play John Wick in the upcoming "Ballerina" spinoff, starring Ana de Armas and McShane.

On the other hand, preparations are underway for the fifth installment of the popular film. The fourth installment of "John Wick" hits theaters on March 24.
