Matthew Goode is a British actor who has worked in many famous Movies and TV shows to form his stardom. He is not only recognized for his remarkable performance in the movies such as Belle (2013), Self/less (2015) and The Imitation Game (2014) but is also recognized for being a one-woman man in Hollywood.

Matthew is very shy about his love life and keeps his personal life out of the spotlight.

Matthew Goode biography

Goode was born as Matthew William Goode on April 3, 1978, in Exeter, Devon, England. His father Anthony Goode was a geologist and mother Jennifer Goode was a nurse.

Moreover, Goode’s mother was also an amateur theatre director, and she was the reason behind the Goode’s initial interest in theatre and acting. Talking about his siblings, he has five siblings altogether, three from a previous marriage of his mother and two (including him) with his father.

His half-sister is TV presenter, Sally Meen. Similarly, he is English by nationality and belongs to the white ethnicity. Matthew grew up in the village of Clyst St. Mary, near Exeter. He had got his high school education at the Exeter School in Devon, England.

Similarly, after high school, he had gone to study drama at the University of Birmingham. Then, he had transferred to Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London.

Mathew Goode career

Matthew Goode had started his acting career in 2002 with ABC’s film Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister.

However, he was only recognized by the industry in 2004, when Goode had played the role of Ben Calder in the romantic comedy Chasing Liberty. Moreover, he was nominated for the Teen Choice Awards for Male Breakout Star for that role.

After that, he had become the toast of movie producers and worked in several movies such as Match Point, My Family and Other Animals, Imagine Me and You, Brides Head Revisited, Leap Year etcetera. Matthew has received several nominations for his excellent performances in the movies.

He was nominated for Best Actor in Leading Role in 2012 by Film Critics Circle of Australia Awards. Similarly, she was also nominated for his performance in the film Burning Man by the Australian Film Institute for the similar category in 2013. Moreover, Goode had won the Fangoria Chainsaw Awards for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Stoker in 2014.
