Even a $10 million price reduction isn't helping Alec Baldwin unload his sprawling Hamptons estate. The first time the property hit the market was November of last year and it carried a $29 million ask. Now, the price has dropped to $18 million after several reductions.

It comes on the same day as Baldwin's trial for involuntary manslaughter. When a cinematographer was fatally shot during an tragic accident on the set of the "Rust" movie in October 2021, it resulted Hoyt with charges against him.

Baldwin, who was holding the prop gun when Hutchins died but denies pulling its trigger or knowing it contained live rounds. He could serve up to 18 months in prison if convicted. Despite the legal difficulties, Baldwin turned up at First Judicial District Court in Santa Fe on July 9 to start the trial.

This came after a New York Times story suggested moments ago that the numerous properties Trump has on the market, including his East Hampton home, had nothing to do with any pending liquidity crisis linked allegedly lost jobs and mounting legal costs and bills resulting from having such a big family.

Baldwin, 61, and his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, have four children under the age of 5 years in addition to their older daughter, Ireland, from a previous marriage - for seven kids in all with ages ranging from newborn to almost-middle school.

However, a source close to Baldwin rejects such claims saying, “There is no financial strain. The rumors are not true,” he insisted, stating unequivocally: “That house has been on the market for two years.

Baldwin's Real Estate Shuffle

It was more than enough property activity for the actor, who has lately been shuffling his real estate portfolio. A farm in Vermont that records show Baldwin purchased for $1.75 million was also sold, as well a residence in Upstate New York for $530,000.

It's particularly noteworthy since the Hamptons spread has been on and off the market a number of times. Initially pared back to $24.9 million in January 2023, it was further reduced by March -- but the target ultimately withdrew his support for New York anyway ahead of schedule, only then reemerging later on at a mere $18.9 million starting point as of January 2024 Saunders & Associates brokers Scott Bradley and Michael N.

Cinque still have the listing for $4,100M as of July 10. In a promotional video, Baldwin raved about his love of the home and described it as "beautifully quiet - especially in winter. “Seriously, I was completely sold on this place the moment that I arrived,” he said, adding how infrequent it is to find a property of such size in their neck of the woods!

The 10,000-square-foot farmhouse was built in 1740 on an 8-acre lot and has seven bedrooms, seven full bathrooms with views over five acres of agricultural reserve. Plus, pool/spa and football field-sized backyard with enclosed veggie garden & outdoor living room w/fieldstone fireplace epitomize comfort/classic charm Baldwin loves.
