Matthew McConaughey contributed a beautiful message and issued fatherly advice on the latest post for his son Levi on the special occasion of the boy’s 16th birthday on Instagram. The 'Dallas Buyers Club' actor appears in a music video that includes pictures of Levi growing up; in the video, the singer teaches his increasingly elder child about life as he gets closer to being a man.

"Alright Levi, coming on that age, buddy. About to be out on your own," Matthew said in the video. "Me and your mom hope we've done as good of a job as we can. You're not gonna really have us as a safety net out there in the wonderful, wild world forever." The actor who starred in 'Magic Mike' and 'True Detective' added to the series, the message gets more basic yet more existential.

"Just go out, enjoy," he said, "Be aware of your surroundings. Be yourself. Know when to say yes, know when to say no, know when to say maybe, See the good in everybody else, but know that not everyone else is always paying attention." "Take your time.

Enjoy the journey," he concluded, echoing the sentiment in his caption: "Enjoy your journey."

Levi's Lincoln Legacy

Matthew and his spouse, Camila Alves McConaughey, became the parents of Levi on the 7th of July, 2008. The couple is also a parent to a girl, Vida, aged 14, and a boy, Livingston, aged 11 years.

Levi recently shot a Lincoln automotive ad campaign almost in the footsteps of his father and appeared with Matthew. The commercials that were posted on the Internet for Father’s Day, respectively, depict the two indulging in some episodes and teachings, this time stressing good handling of the wheels.

Matthew gives driving tips to Levi in one of the campaign videos. "Now, your mother and I, we hope we've raised you well enough to be responsible for yourself, to take care of yourself, to be aware of your surroundings." subconsciously, he touched the wheel, "Driving yourself for the first time, I'd be lying if I said we weren't both a little bit nervous.

But that'd be natural I think." The message was then rounded off with a summary by Matthew to the rest of the members in the campaign. He pulled up and wished her well in a serious manner like, "Enjoy the journey, enjoy the drive.

Congratulations," and before Levi could achieve comic mode, he too decided to do the long drive, the non-highway route.
