From the Montero-Carter’s latest hit 'Old Town Road' to the movie 'Beverly Hills Cop', Lil Nas X is an artist in an evolution stage. One of the Grammy Award winners came out with a new song titled 'Here We Go!' on Friday.

This theme song is for the upcoming Netflix sequel, 'Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F,' is expected to be released on Wednesday on the streaming platform. It includes the electronic riff from the 1984 movie theme performed by Harold Faltermeyer.

The film score also earned a Grammy Award in the category of Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media. In his conversation with 'Axel F' with Eddie Murphy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Taylour Paige, Lil Nas X said he first heard the 'Beverly Hills Cop' theme from the 'Family Guy.'

Murphy humorously followed that the 25-year-old musician did not exist when the first movie came out in 1984. "Wasn’t even born in 1984. … You weren’t even thought about yet." Murphy said. "You weren’t even a little glint in your dad’s eye yet in 1984."

Recording Process Insights

Regarding the process of recording the song, Lil Nas X said that it was kind of insane, he stated that, "I was a bit emotional.

And I know my dad and family probably went the most insane about me doing it because it’s so close to them." Murphy liked this new track, stating, "It’s just exciting to have some new music and have this brother be the one that’s on it." Lil Nas X said, "I’m happy to do it.

I hope I’m not slaughtered by the people that love the original." Murphy returns to the sequel in this Netflix film as Detroit-born police officer Axel Foley. The first three films were released in the years 1984, 1987 and 1994, respectively.

All of the main characters are back, including Judge Reinhold as David, John Ashton as Bill, Paul Reiser as Paul, and Bronson Pinchot as Serge. In this last piece, Axel Foley joins forces with a new partner, Detective Bobby Abbott, portrayed by Gordon-Levitt.

It revolves around them as they guard Foley’s estranged daughter, criminal defense attorney Jane Saunders portrayed by Paige, who is in mortal danger. 'Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F' is out on the 3 rd of July on Netflix. Make sure you catch it for the drama and some new bops from Lil Nas X.
