Nurturing voice’ Billy Joel has weighed in on Justin Timberlake’s recent arrest over the alleged driving under the influence on Long Island Tuesday afternoon. Joel who released the famous tune “Piano Man” was having his meals at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor when questioned over Timberlake’s arrest, which ensued early morning in the same town.

It happened last year; Joel was calmly quoted in PIX11 News as saying, “Judge not lest ye be judged”. Documents in the court recorded that Timberlake was arrested while driving under suspicion that he did not stop at a stop sign twice, swerving.

By Tuesday evening, he had another mug shot taken, and like other people who transform their faces during the event, his photo fueled the public’s interest.

Timberlake's Alcohol Symptoms

The arrest report showed that Timberlake had symptoms of alcohol consumption, such as red and watery eyes, the presence of alcohol odor, difficulty in speaking clearly, or inability to maintain balance.

Also, in the same papers, Timberlake testified that he only took “one martini” and followed his friends home. However, the arrest did not stop Timberlake from raring to go and refusing to undergo a chemical test, which could have certain legal implications.

This event places Timberlake in the bracket of many perils celebrities who have run into the law in the region, the Hamptons. Billy Joel himself has his share with the police. Joel was arrested in 1992, together with a commercial fisherman from Long Island and the East Hampton Baymen’s Association, for subverting the law for catching striped bass.

The charges against Joel were later dropped, but the occurrence is still memorable in his lifetime. Recording the story of Timberlake’s arrest, he becomes the latest celebrity to be arrested in the Hamptons’ legal problems.

Unfortunately, people in public office have to go through such experiences, and I urge everyone to respect the law. The public and the fans will wait for further developments to see what happens next and how this affects Timberlake’s music and his life.
