Prince Harry is reportedly grappling with feelings of homesickness as he explores potential residences in the United Kingdom, suggesting a desire to reconnect with his roots. This insight was shared by Kinsey Schofield, host of the “To Di For Daily” podcast, during an interview with Fox News Digital.

Schofield mentioned that Harry's feelings oscillate between contentment with his current life in Montecito, California, and a longing for his homeland, a sentiment that fluctuates with the days. Residing in California with his wife Meghan Markle and their children, Archie and Lilibet, Harry is navigating the complexities of maintaining ties to both his past and present locales.

Schofield suggests that Meghan has authorized Harry to pursue an additional residence in the UK to assuage his homesickness. However, she likely remains detached from the process, harboring no interest in participating or visiting the potential properties.

Harry's Security Hurdle

The issue of Harry's security remains a significant barrier to any decisive property investment in the UK. Schofield points out that without resolving these concerns, Harry is hesitant to make substantial financial commitments.

Echoing this sentiment, Grant Harrold, former butler to King Charles, informed The Post that Harry has been considering a return to the UK for a while now, indicating that his recent actions suggest a firmer decision to establish a base there.

Earlier this year, a marked shift in Harry’s official status underscored his evolving relationship with the UK; he renounced his British residency and declared the United States as his home in recent legal documents.

This change coincided with his and Meghan’s departure from Frogmore Cottage on June 29, 2023, effectively leaving them without a UK residence. Schofield added that Meghan feels rejected by the UK, a sentiment that has influenced her focus on winning over the Hollywood elite through her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

Amid these personal developments, the British royal family is dealing with significant health challenges, with both Kate Middleton and King Charles battling cancer. According to Schofield, the royal family’s primary concern is healing, which may leave them indifferent to Harry’s property acquisitions in the UK.

As Prince Harry contemplates these pivotal decisions, his situation reflects the struggles of a man torn between two worlds—his historical connections to the UK and his current life in the U.S. The outcome of his security negotiations and the support from his family will be critical in shaping his future steps and determining where he will call home.
