New York City Mayor Eric Adams revoked Sean "Diddy" Combs' Key to the City after some disturbing surveillance footage from 2016 surfaced involving the mogul in an assault against his ex, singer Cassie. The 63-year-old Mayor Adams, in a Thursday letter to CNN, now says he is "gravely concerned" about the incident a committee has recommended nullifying the honor for.

"I condemn these actions and stand in solidarity with all survivors of domestic and gender-based violence," Adams said. The key, returned to the city on June 10, had been given to Combs in September 2023 in a ceremony honoring his efforts in music, business, and philanthropy.

Key Revoked Fallout

The 54-year-old received the key after a ceremony about his "Love Album - Off the Grid" project, held in Times Square. Adams called Combs "the bad boy of entertainment" and "the bad boy of politics." After the fallout, Combs apologized to the public in a now-deleted video posted on Instagram, during which he took full responsibility for his actions in that video, adding that he was disgusted then and remains so now.

New accusations are emerging, and the fallout continues. Model Crystal McKinney filed a lawsuit claiming Combs had drugged and s----- assaulted her in 2003. Days later, another accuser, April Lampos, filed court documents accusing Combs of drugging her in four terrifying s---- assaults.

In other news, Combs sold his majority stake in Revolt, a media company he founded amid several lawsuits. Howard University took back an honorary degree bestowed upon Combs, explicitly mentioning the Cassie video. His $1 million donation was returned by the Board of Trustees, who claimed that no money had been paid on the pledge.

Combs is still suffering repercussions both on professional and personal levels after several accusations were made against him.
