Favourite duo Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman give fans something sweet to giggle about as they roast each other with lovely comments and jibes on social media. The pair, who have closed 15 years of friendship in the perfect way possible, became closer this weekend.

Reynolds made his typical but ultra-sentimental post about Jackman on Instagram last June 8, as it is National Best Friends Day, captioning that they had already shared screen time in their upcoming "Deadpool & Wolverine" movie that is supposed to premiere this July 26.

The post featured the newly released trailer for the movie, and in the caption, Reynolds wrote, "I hope everyone gets to work with their best friend at least once in their lifetime. I know I can't wait to finally do it," with heart emojis and the hashtag #BestFriendsDay.

This further reinstated how long they have been friends and added a certain tinge of lightness in teasing both of them, that fans have come to love all the more.

Playful Banter Continues

Jackman responded in the same cheeky manner when, on his Instagram account, he commented with the words: "He stabs mine.

I scratch his back," also covered with heart emojis. This is the latest move in a friendly rivalry spanning many years, which includes memorable moments such as the 2018 holiday party where Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal pranked Reynolds into wearing an ugly Christmas sweater.

This acting friendship was established as early as 2008, and it has only grown over the years, particularly with Jackman reprising his role as Wolverine in the third part of this Deadpool-focused piece. Their relationship extends beyond mere colleagues to genuine friends who support and root for each other's success.

In a May interview with PEOPLE, Reynolds compared their friendship to his marriage with Blake Lively, emphasizing a rare mutual support system in Hollywood. Reynolds said, "I am genuinely rooting for you, all the time. I want you to win." This mirrors his sentiment with his wife, where mutual support and encouragement are key.

Jackman echoed this sentiment, noting the importance of having friends with whom one can share anything without judgment. Their bond even impresses those around them, including "Deadpool 3" director Shawn Levy, who, in a September 2023 interview with the Los Angeles Times, described their relationship as "f------ real." This friendship not only enriches their personal lives but also brings an authentic, dynamic chemistry to their on-screen performances, much to the delight of their fans.
