Lenny Kravitz is still an optimist in romance, hoping to find long-lasting love again one day. The 60-year-old Grammy winner recently opened up about his unwavering faith in love and relationships during an interview with InStyle, which was published June 5.

"I love love. I love relationships and that whole dynamic, and it's been hard for me," Kravitz shared honestly. Looking back on the past, he noted, "It's been quite a while" since marrying then-wife Lisa Bonet, to whom he's divorced.

The musician truly aspired to marry again, saying, "This isn't just a fantasy to be had; this is my life and my desire, but you can't rush these things. Everything takes its time, and I had many lessons to learn. You truly have to be ready for whatever it is in life you so long for.

When you are, it will come. Kravitz and Bonet tied the knot in 1987, welcoming their daughter Zoë Kravitz next year. The two eventually split up for divorce in 1993; now, at 56 years old, Bonet is living her life with Jason Momoa.

She and Momoa have two children: Lola, 16, and Nakoa-Wolf, 15. The couple was together from 2005 until they broke up in 2022. Over the years, Kravitz has been romantically connected with some of the most famous women, including Kylie Minogue, Vanessa Paradis, and Nicole Kidman.

But despite these relationships, the musician is relentless in his belief that he will tie the knot again. "I believe in marriage," he said. "I believe in the family—the family unit; I believe in growing old together.".

Lenny Kravitz's Romantic Optimism

"Timing is important—you can meet the right person at the wrong time. It takes two of them, so I'm open and patiently waiting." Kravitz, who last month admitted he had been celibate for nine years to The Guardian, described this time in his life as "spiritual." "I have become very set in my ways, in how I live," he continued.

While he awaits his chance to say "I do" again, Kravitz couldn't be more excited about his daughter Zoë's upcoming wedding to actor Channing Tatum. "I feel just happiness, you know?" he told InStyle. "Happiness knowing that she's confident in her choice and is looking forward to building a life with someone — they're equally matched and equally yoked—just happiness.

Kravitz stays grounded in his passion by embracing love in all its forms. "I genuinely love love, and I believe that these blessings come from God," he said. "So, I want to make the most out of it. I love what I do. I love being creative. I love making music, so I use it to unite us.
