Jennifer Lopez has canceled her hyped summer tour for her family's sake, while others believe it is connected with the breaking news that she has split up with her actor-husband, Ben Affleck. The pop singer and her promoter, Live Nation, announced this after rumors spread about poor ticket sales for the multi-date event.

She expressed regret and the necessity of this decision in a heartfelt message to fans through her newsletter "On the JLo.". "I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down," Lopez wrote. "Please know that I wouldn't do this if I didn't feel that it was necessary.

I promise I will make it up to you, and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time." Live Nation also issued a more empathetic statement, saying "Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends." The tour already was scaled to a smaller size than she had initially intended and for her greatest hits album rather than her most recent.

Her cancellation is added to a string of changes offered in the wake of low ticket sales for the event.

Bennifer's Current Challenges

Adding to the rumor mill has been the media attention on Lopez and Affleck's relationship.

There are reports that the couple, married in 2022 after getting back together almost two decades, lives separately in Los Angeles. People Magazine cited sources suggesting this has strained their different approaches to public life.

"She likes to open her heart to her fans and the world," the magazine said from an unnamed source. "He is more introspective and private. This has been difficult day-to-day." Lopez and Affleck were introduced to each other while working on the disastrous 2003 picture "Gigli." The media hyped their relationship as "Bennifer," but the couple, who had delayed their 2003 wedding, said in January 2004 that they had split.

The duo rekindled their romance in 2021 and had the internet going wild over all the photos together. The two finally tied the knot in a small ceremony in Nevada in July 2022, after which they hopped to Georgia to celebrate their nuptials on Affleck's 87-acre waterfront estate with other celebrities.

Last year, it was reported that Lopez and Affleck had bought a $60-million home in Los Angeles, marking a new beginning in their lives. As they tread through the muddy waters, fans and media will be keen to know what the future holds for one of Hollywood's most talked-about couples.
