He drops the first single from the forthcoming 12th full-length studio album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), and a trippy, cameo-laden video for the song "Houdini." The clip finds comedian Pete Davidson smashing Eminem's car as a nod to the rapper's 2002 "Without Me" video.

The video for "Houdini" opens with a scene in which Dr. Dre shares with Eminem that a portal from 2002 has opened inside the city, and the rapper-version-one-point-five has been unleashed, including the bleached-blond hair.

Anarchy reigns, and Eminem turns into Rap Boy and faces himself as a youth. The video for "Without Me" is also in a comic style, in which the artists duel it out on a rooftop before mixing into a new, "unholy hybrid" Eminem.

Star-Studded Cameos

There are also cameos from Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent, along with comedian Shane Gillis. Davidson appears towards the end, taking over as Eminem's driver after Dr. Dre leaves the vehicle. In a humorous nod to his real-life 2023 reckless driving charge, Davidson assures Eminem, "Trust me, I'm a great driver.

Don't worry, I just got my license back." The lyrics of "Houdini" are not without controversy, featuring references to high-profile incidents such as the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion by Tory Lanez and R. Kelly's conviction.

One notable lyric speculates about a collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, asking, "If I was to ask for Megan Thee Stallion if she would collab with me / Would I really have a shot at a feat?" Pete Davidson's cameo is particularly noteworthy given his history of parodying Eminem on "Saturday Night Live." The rapper has made appearances in Davidson's sketches, including a notable cameo in "Forgot About Lorne" during Davidson's final SNL episode in 2022.

"The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)" is slated for release this summer, promising more of Eminem's signature blend of humor, controversy, and lyrical prowess. Fans eagerly await the album, anticipating how the rapper will continue to evolve his iconic persona.
