"He was killed senselessly by a coward," Joy posted, reflecting on the profound impact Wactor had on those around him. She emphasized how Wactor's last actions exemplified his character—brave and selfless to the end.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner confirmed that Wactor's death was due to a gunshot wound to the chest and ruled as a homicide.
