In a dramatic turn of events outside the Manhattan Criminal Court, former President Donald Trump rebuked Hollywood icon Robert De Niro, labeling him a "wacko" following the actor's vocal protest against him. The incident unfolded on Tuesday, as the 80-year-old actor joined forces with two police officers who were present during the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, to express their disdain for Trump, who was attending his hush money trial.

De Niro, an Oscar-winning actor renowned for his critical stance against Trump, didn't hold back during his protest. He branded the former president a "clown" and accused him of undermining American democracy. However, Trump's response was swift and sharp.

Taking to social media, Trump disparaged De Niro, questioning his mental and physical stature. "I never knew how small, both mentally and physically, Wacko Former Actor Robert De Niro was," Trump posted.

The former president continued his tirade, attributing De Niro's actions to what he referred to as Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS), a term popularly mentioned in political discourses to describe fervent criticism or opposition to him.

"Today, De Niro, who suffers from an incurable case of TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, was met outside the Courthouse with a force far greater than the Radical Left - MAGA," Trump exclaimed. Trump also criticized De Niro's recent involvement in politics, suggesting it had tarnished his artistic and brand value.

"Robert, whose movies, artistry, and brand have gone WAY DOWN IN VALUE since he entered the political arena at the request of Crooked Joe Biden, looked so pathetic and sad out there," he remarked. This clash between Trump and De Niro is not just a testament to the ongoing political tension but also highlights how deeply intertwined politics and entertainment have become.

As Trump faces legal scrutiny, his altercation with De Niro adds another layer to the spectacle, drawing public and media attention alike. Amidst these heated exchanges, one can't help but wonder about the lasting impacts of such public disputes on the legacies of both figures.

As Trump rhetorically asked, "Where have you gone Joe DiMaggio?," it echoes a sentiment of longing for a different kind of celebrity influence in times of political strife.
