Powerful music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs was slapped Wednesday with new accusations of se-ual assault in a New York City lawsuit, the latest legal entanglement involving the influential entertainment figure. The plaintiff, model Crystal McKinney, said the incident happened in 2003, when she was just 22 and was introduced to him by a designer at a fashionable event at Cipriani Downtown.

According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, McKinney alleges that her encounter with Combs began with him exhibiting overtly flirtatious behavior and making public advances during the event. Combs is said to have praised McKinney's potential in the modeling industry, asserting his influence and offering to help advance her career.

The night reportedly escalated after they exchanged phone numbers, with McKinney claiming that Combs was persistent in his advances, continuously complimenting her and refilling her wine glass throughout dinner.

Alleged Assault Detailed

The lawsuit details that later that evening at Combs’ studio, McKinney was offered marijuana which she believes was laced with a narcotic, leading her to feel disoriented and "floating." Despite declining to smoke or drink further due to her discomfort, Combs allegedly pressured her, calling her “uptight”.

The situation reportedly culminated in a bathroom where Combs forcibly kissed McKinney and coerced her into performing oral s-x, after which she lost consciousness. Adding to McKinney's ordeal, she claims that Combs subsequently hindered her modeling career, contributing to a period of severe emotional distress that led her to attempt suicide in 2004.

As part of her case, McKinney has preserved the unwashed clothing from that night, stored in her closet in plastic wrap, which may serve as evidence in her lawsuit. The damages McKinney seeks are unspecified, but the lawsuit comes amidst a troubling time for Combs, following recent publicized allegations including a violent incident involving his former girlfriend, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura in 2016, captured on hotel surveillance.

Furthermore, Combs faces additional allegations of se-ual misconduct from three other women and one man, intensifying scrutiny around his personal conduct and his professional empire. This legal challenge sheds light on the broader issues of accountability and misconduct in the entertainment industry, as more individuals come forward with allegations against high-profile figures.
