British filmmaker Marianna Dean has completed production on her latest film, "Voidance," featuring the renowned James Cosmo, known for his roles in "Highlander," "Troy," and "Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan." We are excited to share the first look at this highly anticipated sci-fi thriller.

"Voidance," currently in post-production, is Dean’s second feature film. Alongside Cosmo, the cast includes Zoe Cunningham ("Breaking Infinity"), Neil Bishop ("Beautiful Disaster," "Beautiful Wedding"), Mim Shaikh ("Queenie," "What’s Love Got To Do With It"), Billy Price ("Hollyoaks"), and Chris Charles ("Hollyoaks").

Dean, who also serves as the film’s producer, collaborates with producers Cunningham and Tom Taplin. The screenplay, penned by Simon X. Frederick ("The Informer"), is produced by Mind Engagement Productions and Unfolding Entertainment.

Alana's Challenge

The film, shot in London, follows Alana Toro (Cunningham) as she undergoes her final exam to join the ATIC Guard. Tasked with devising a strategy to prevent a historical terrorist attack aimed at a newly elected ATIC-supported politician, Alana repeatedly attempts to solve the scenario.

Throughout her journey, she discovers that theoretical knowledge only goes so far. Alana begins to question her long-held beliefs about ATIC, realizing it isn’t universally seen as the heroic organization she once thought.

As she delves deeper into the motives of the terrorists and so-called "innocent" bystanders, she finds herself sympathizing with her traditional enemies. However, Alana remains accountable to ATIC, whose view of loyalty is rigid and uncompromising.

Even after discovering the solution, she faces the daunting question: will she be ready to implement it? Director Marianna Dean expressed her enthusiasm for the project, saying, "As a director, I always like to push myself, so I was thrilled to work on such an ambitious, fast-paced, and intriguing project.

I loved the script from the moment I read it. While it’s set in a sci-fi world, each character is realistically human." James Cosmo also shared his excitement, stating, "I rather like off-world, science fiction stuff, so it’s been good fun to play this character."
